Vermont State University’s Road to Success Program is an initiative designed to reduce barriers and support the success of students from rural communities.
Students from Addison County are likely to qualify for this program.

Services provided:
  • Broadband access (connected through Starlink for full time students at VTSU),
  • Laptops
  • Access to free tutoring on campus or through Tutor.com
  • Paid up to $2000 for an unpaid internships
  • Campuses in Williston, Johnson, Castleton, Randolph, and Lyndon
  • Freedom and Unity Scholarship: if your household income is 65,000 or less going full time for AA or BA then your tuition is free
  • If you went to CCV you can also qualify for road to success program
  •  Early College program and Dual Enrollment allows some students to come in with between 9-21 credits
Road to Success Eligibility: 
Enrolled full time
Graduate from a Rural Vermont Schools (all but 5 schools in the State all in Chittenden County)
Or if they have an Associate’s Degree from CCV
No income requirements

Apprenticeship Program:
If someone is working for electrician or plumber and they are sponsored by employer:
VTSU has a program: employer pays tuition and they go through the program but Road to Success is not connected for that program. This is completely online.
