VERMONT FAMILY NETWORK’S DIGITAL ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT & CERTIFICATION THROUGH ACCESSIBLE WEB

Vermont Family Network is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including those with disabilities. By subscribing to Accessible Web’s service, Vermont Family Network’s site is being tested, updated and monitored for access barriers.

Accessible Web is a website accessibility company and their process includes both automatic and manual testing. Manual testing is conducted by accessibility experts and users utilizing assistive technologies.

Vermont Family Network, with the help from Accessible Web, is in the process of upgrading this site so that it conforms to WCAG 2.1 AA standards. After all the remediations have been made, Accessible Web will retest to verify the fixes are in place and certify the site if all criteria are passed.

Vermont Family Network’s (VFN) website. VFN empowers and supports all Vermont families of children with special needs by Giving a Strong Start, Lifting Family Voices, and Advancing Inclusive Communities.  VFN’s 3 programs are: Family Support, Children’s Integrated Services/Early Intervention for Chittenden County, and Puppets in Education. The website is designed to provide information about the organization’s mission,  services, and programs, provide helpful resources, and to facilitate donations and promote upcoming events.
