Special Education Town Hall with VT Agency of Education 5/27
May 27, 2020 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
There are 13,561 K-12 students in Vermont who receive Special Education services, 14,378 when we include early education and enrolled adults who have not received diplomas. Join us in this Town Hall as Jacqui Kelleher, State Director of Special Education with the Vermont Agency of Education (AOE), reviews the highlights of the Agency’s May 8th Memo: Initial Considerations for Compensatory Education and Extended School Year Services. There will be time for Q&A and we’ll start with questions that are submitted in advance to [email protected].
We welcome Jacqui and the other AOE staff who will be joining her: Chris Kane, Special Education Programs Manager; John Spinney, Post-Secondary Transition Coordinator; Ernie Wheeler, Special Education Technical Assistance Provider; and Tracy Harris, Coordinator for Behavioral Supports. This meeting will be recorded for those who aren’t able to join the “live” event on Wednesday, May 27 from 3 pm – 4 pm.
