Evaluators for ASD Diagnosis and Consultation

There are several different providers who can conduct assessments and evaluations to diagnose Autism Spectrum Disorders. Evaluations can be done through:

Child Development Clinic (primarily children under 8) and can be seen by a team of  developmental pediatricians, psychologists, or psychiatrist. CDC has a central referral number, 863-7338, or 1-800-660-4427.  (Statewide)

Codding Hollow Associates, Inc., transdisciplinary team, provides school-based or home speech and language services or assessments for treatment planning serving students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders or other severe communication disorders, Johnson, VT  802-233-5714

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth, Genetics and Child Development, Lebanon, NH 603-650-5437

Deer Creek Psychological Associates is a multi-disciplinary group practice offering a variety of psychological and medical services to children, adults and families,consultations to parents, allied professionals, schools and other human service agencies.  They provide educational, psychological, neuro-psychological, neurological, and disability evaluations.

Hanover Psychiatry provides  a variety of services that include neuropsychological services , evaluations and  treating child and adolescent psychopathology, autism-spectrum disorders, disruptive behavior disorders, depression and anxiety disorders,  and childhood trauma. There are many clinicians who have areas of specialty including family therapy services and couples counseling.

Maple Leaf Clinic Provide neuropsychological, educational, psychological, speech and language, and social thinking assessments of children, adolescents and adults. Services also include social skills development (utilizing Relationship Development Intervention® and the Think Social! model), educational or clinical consultation and professional development.

Stern Center for Learning Offer evaluations, educational, social skills training, communication services and design and deliver programs  to children and adults, including those with learning disabilities, dyslexia, language disorders, autism, attention deficit disorders, and learning style differences. They  also provide social understanding training.

Vermont Center for Children Youth and Families Autism Assessment Clinic   The Vermont Center for Children, Youth, & Families, in partnership with the State of Vermont has established an Autism Assessment Clinic to serve the needs of Medicaid supported children and families throughout Vermont.  For more information, click here.

Vermont Developmental and Behavioral Medicine (VDBM) is an affiliate of the Augmentative Learning & Movement Center. Developed as consultation practice, VDBM provides evaluations and consultative support to pediatric primary care providers, schools, and agencies involved with the care of children with developmental/behavioral disorders and communication services for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
