VFN Family Room

Baird 5 Pediatrics VFN Family Room at Vermont Children’s Hospital

Vermont Family Network and Vermont Children’s Hospital, Baird 5 have created the VFN Family Room for parents, grandparents, and other caregivers.  It is available 24/7.  This room was established to provide a comfortable haven for adults who are caregivers for children on Baird 5. Parents may use the computer, relax on the couch, do crafts, read books from the VFN library, find resources, or just rest.

VFN is looking for volunteers to staff the VFN Family Room. Volunteers must be the parent of a child with special needs. Our goal is to have the VFN Family Room staffed for one hour each day between 11 am and 6 pm.  Volunteers can commit to a minimum of one hour a month.  If you are interested in supporting family members on Baird 5, please email Joanne Wechsler at Vermont Family Network or call her at 1-800-800-4005 ext. 217.
