How to Make a Referral

Do you have Questions or Concerns?

Because all babies are different, they rarely do the same thing at exactly the same age. As a result, it’s not unusual for parents to have questions or concerns about their child’s development.

If you are concerned about how your child is learning and growing, call the Children’s Integrated Services-Early Intervention Program.

What We Can Do For Your Family:

  • Help you understand your child’s growth
  • Work together to reach your goals for your child
  • Meet at a natural setting, in your home or the community
  • Connect you to resources

The Early Intervention Program, which serves children age birth-to-three, is now part of the Children’s Integrated Services (CIS). CIS is the name for Vermont’s new approach to providing coordinated child development and family support services formerly provided by the programs: Healthy Babies, Kids & Families, Children’s Upstream Services, and Family, Infant & Toddler.

The Children’s Integrated Services-Early Intervention Program is available to you and your child at no cost regardless of your income or where you live in Vermont.  VFN hosts the Chittenden County program. Contact the Children’s Integrated Services-Early Intervention Program at: 1-800-800-4005.

To contact your local CIS-EI program, call 2-1-1 (toll free) from anywhere in Vermont and tell them you are calling about the Children’s Integrated Services Program (CIS). You may also access contact information at: http://dcf.vermont.gov/cdd/cis.
